We have an immediate opening for an Instructional Designer/Training Course Developer to join our team. Applicants should be entrepreneurial minded, flexible, driven, and very passionate about the mission.


Job Description
SVI is looking for an expert in all phases of full life cycle Instructional Design / Development to create blended learning courses from existing content with the ability to create new content if needed. Must be technical and process oriented. 3 - 5yrs expertise creating engaging, concise, and effective training solutions with the ability to transform complex technical concepts into clear concise training acknowledged for performance improvement and maximized retention. Ability to translate content from subject matter experts into tactics, objectives, and metrics within training materials that provide vision, skills, and knowledge application. Experience in designing both functional and leadership training is desirable.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a training or communications related discipline plus 3 to 4 years experience in Instructional Design and Leadership programs required.
  • CPLP certified a plus

Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are critical
  • Excellent computer skills especially Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Experience with case and test development, simulations, and Learning Management Systems preferred

Responsibilities

  • Develop leadership courses including working with SVI research team to insert existing or create new pre and post-tests and assessments, writing scripts, and creating facilitator guides and participant workbooks
  • Plan the overall instructional flow of leadership programs and see that content is both appropriate and clearly communicated
  • Provide expertise and consultation around the best modality for which training should be delivered (including, but not limited to, e-Learning, m-Learning, ILT, and self-paced)
  • Liaison with SVI’s Information Systems group in order to create computer-based learning
  • Ability to take limited direction from clients and create a workable model to move forward with
  • Use front end analysis to get to root causes in material design
  • Leverage project management skills to work with project teams to deliver project on time and within cost
