BENTONVILLE, Arkansas -- Organizational development company SVI has been contracted by Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. to create technology solutions that support the recently announced Walmart Lifelong Learning Program.

The Walmart Lifelong Learning Program is a partnership with American Public University (APU) that allows Walmart and Sam's Club associates to obtain college credits for relevant training and experience at Walmart. Associates who participate in the program will also receive grants from APU for 15% of their tuition costs.

SVI, working in conjunction with Walmart and APU, developed the software that allows Walmart to easily manage the transcripts and work history for participants of the Lifelong Learning Program.
